About Us

Lakeside Paddleboats are located within the picturesque Emerald Lake Park and operate on the safe waters of Lake Treganowan.

The iconic vintage paddleboats have been lovingly restored and cater for 1-2 riders (per boat) , with choices of ride times available. Experience a close encounter as you navigate your way amongst our resident wildlife; including Ducks, Purple Swamp Hens, Eurasian Cootes, Dusky Moorhens, Kookaburras, Echidnas, Black Wallabies and Rosellas; just to name a few!

Whether you float aimlessly or paddle with purpose, enjoy the myriad of colours that the park offers as the seasons change. Or pause on the peddles as Puffing Billy gives a playful toot coming and going from the Lakeside Station.

All paddleboats are 2 seaters. Children under 12 yrs must be accompanied by an adult. Minimum age is 5 yrs. For safety height restrictions do apply. All riders must be over 90 cm tall and wear a life jacket (available in all sizes) which will be provided free of charge. We have newly updated Accessible Boats for people with additional mobility needs or extra comfort for our younger riders.

Great experience for family with young children. The staff were friendly and helpful. The scenery around the lake while paddling was gorgeous. Very close proximity to the Puffing Billy railway station.

Well organised experience. Friendly and affable staff very helpful which made for a smooth experience. Get ready for a big fun leg exercise as it takes a lot of energy to push these fantastic things but so worth it for the unique and pleasant experience which I would recommend to all!

Great activity for a quick day trip to Emerald, our nearly 5 and 7 year old loved it and would love to come back again soon! 15 minutes is plenty for us and our young kids. Staff members were amazing and helpful too.

My hubby and I took our teenage kids 2 weeks ago to the paddle boats and our daughter was very scared but the staff were AMAZING and helped her alot. She has autism and got upset at first but then after some encouragement she calmd down and loved it. Highly recommend

Nice place, enjoyed the day with family. Lots of space, paddleboats go for 10 mins , trust me that's enuf, barbeque, birds are very friendly, parks, gym, barbeques, ample of picnic space and benches.

Great value for money, 30min is definitely a long time and a leg workout so if you're not into that I'd suggest a 15min session. Staff are helpful and lovely. Card payment or cash availability. Parking is close and cheap if staying all day or just for a while. Plenty of picnic spots, tables, benches, clean toilets, fishing available, a small playground and a workout playground. Great day trip or small trip for a few hours and an easy drive. Highly recommend the paddle boats and Emerald lake Park in general
